Valentine's Day!

So, it's that time of year, where lovers and love-lorn alike are bombarded with messages of romance, semi-naked babies with bows & arrows and chocolate. :) In Second Life, we celebrate love by going shopping, and partying. Oh, and donuts. Hehe. I did a bit of both this time, heading off to the Valentine's Shop and Hop, Cupid Inc and Cupid's Fault, then got dressed up for the Valentine's Ball at Mystic Beach.

 

Took some time to check out the bargains before hand. Always a smart idea, especially at the Shop & Hop where there is always credits and gift cards to collect.

Thought I'd wear something that would stand up to a lot of shopping and hopping. This is one of the "Off-Line" January group gifts, called First Lady, paired with the corset from the Karla set by [Glitzz]

 

While at the Shop & Hop I remembered that someone in an in-world group I'm part of mentioned that they had a dinkie avatar that they used for shopping events. I chatted to the lovely Persi and her friends, and after some browsing, found myself a dinky avi. So... meet cat!Prim :) I was looking for a calico cat, then I saw this one at Tiny Inc and fell in love. Because as you have probably gleaned, I capital-L love pink.
 

And that group member was right. Dinkie avs make going to crowded events amazingly easy. You load super quickly because dinkies are BOM and the shape, that's about it. Your complexity level is super-duper low. Not to mention the running animation is freaking adorable.

 

 

As for Valentine's Day, well mostly that's just another day for me, but I did have a little fun on the weekend and got dressed up to party. Woo-hoo! Got picked up (literally) at my door by a good friend and wore the very sexy Berrydoll dress by Blueberry to the party. I could probably get used to being carted around like a Disney princess. :D (Pose is courtesy of the Chez-Moi Welcome Mat).
